HSA Family Coverage Contribution Limits

Posted on 09/05/2025 ← Back to TaxBert's Tax Talk
What is the maximum contribution to an HSA for someone with family coverage?

For 2024, the maximum HSA contribution for family coverage is $8,300 if under age 55, and $9,300 if age 55 or older. Note that these limits assume only one spouse has an HSA. If both spouses have HSAs and are age 55 or older, their combined family limit would be higher.
